Advising Policy

Faculty members in the Department of Film, Theatre and Communication Arts are available for advising FTCA majors Monday through Friday according to the published advising schedule.  The schedule is available online and is posted beside the FTCA office door (PAC Room 307).

Check the schedule to find the advisor on duty or make an appointment with a specific advisor during their advising hours.

Use the colored Option Sheets to track your academic progress. There are sheets for Film (gold), Theatre(blue), and Communication Arts (green).

Look carefully at a hold on your registration. Take note of what type of hold it is. Faculty can only release an advising hold.

You must get permission from the instructor of record for courses that require the consent of department.
