30 PCs equiped with Avid Xpress Pro HD, Steinberg Nuendo, Discreet Combustion, and Adobe Creative Suite CS2. All systems are connected to the Avid Lanshare Storage systems. The facility has access to a total of over 6 terabytes of storage for audio and video. All projects are hosted on the Lanshare and accessible from any computer in the PACPOST facility.
Video Capture, 8mm Film Transfer, Suite Reservations
Reservations for post production rooms including offline, online, and audio suites are made in this room. Two capture stations are available video and audio capture from VHS, DV and Betacam sources. Graduate Assistants are available to help you capture and print to tape. All special requests for drive space and project workspaces are made in this room.
This suite is equiped with an Avid Media Composer Adrenaline sytem capable of real-time uncompressed video editing. The room may be used for uncompressed conform, color correction, dust busting, and formatting for final output to Betacam SP, DVD and DV.
Stereo and 5.1 Surround mixing and audio sweetening is available in this suite. The suite has a Whisper Room reocording isolation booth for voice over work and ADR. The system supports picture sync via DV or 15:1s video files exported from the Avid offline.
These 7 suites are available for 24-hour-a-day use and equipped with Avid Xpress Pro HD, Steinberg Nuendo, Adobe Creative Suite, and Discreet Combustion. Rooms have dual-monitor systems with external speakers. Keys are checked out to qualified users for work in 4000+ level classes only.
